The Anderl factory just outside Schrems: A textile factory with a long history which has been threatened by bankruptcy for years. Hoping, waiting, fear of the future - working in a permanent state of emergency, which is unfortunately normal for this region.
THE FINAL DAYS is an observation of what happens to a few manual laborers over a period of several years - a film about the process of becoming unemployed, told from the perspective of people who know. It represents a memorial to industrial sectors in the process of dying out in Europe.
